One account for the money a business moves. Hold dollars and euros, get paid by customers abroad, pay the people and suppliers you work with, and give your team cards. It replaces having a separate provider for each of those jobs.
No. Stack is a financial technology company, not a bank. Accounts, payment cards, custody and payment services are provided by licensed partners, and your balance is not a bank deposit. It is not insured by the FDIC or any other deposit insurance scheme.
Licensed partners do. Which partner depends on the market: in some countries Stack works through a duly licensed entity, and in others under a regulatory sandbox exemption, which may not offer all the consumer protections of a fully licensed service. We tell you which applies to your business before you start, and the terms name the partner for your market.
That depends on where your business is registered, what it does, and which partner serves that market. We check this with you at the start rather than after you have spent time on an application. Talk to us and we will tell you whether we can serve your business today.
Availability varies by country and is subject to regulatory approval, so there is no single list that is true everywhere. Tell us where your business is registered and where you need to send and receive money, and we will tell you what is open to you.
Stack holds US dollars and euros. Which currencies you can receive from and send to depends on where your business is registered and which partner serves that market, so we confirm that with you before you start.
Balances are held as fully backed dollar stablecoins with regulated, audited partners. They are not lent out and they are not invested. This is what makes money move between countries in minutes rather than days, and it is also why your balance is not a bank deposit and is not covered by deposit insurance.
Data is encrypted with TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest. Sign-in uses multi-factor authentication, internal access is role-based and least-privilege, and systems are hosted in SOC 2 Type II certified data centers behind firewalls, intrusion detection and DDoS protection. We run regular security testing, code reviews and third-party audits. The privacy policy sets out the detail.
Pricing depends on where your business is registered and how you use the account, so we quote it directly rather than publish one number that would be wrong for most businesses. Talk to us and we will set out what your business would pay, including anything charged on currency conversion.
It starts with a conversation about where your business is registered and what you need to do with the account, so we can tell you quickly whether we can serve you. From there the timeline depends on the checks your market requires, and we tell you what those are up front.
Stack Personal is the account for your own money: receiving, holding and spending with a card. Whether you can hold both, and how money moves between them, depends on where you and your business are based. Ask us and we will tell you what applies to you.
Yes. They are separate accounts with separate balances and separate records. Money only moves between them when someone makes a transfer on purpose, and that transfer shows up in both records. Nothing is pooled and nothing is netted off.
